JOB TITLE Accounting Specialist DATE 05182026SUPERVISOR TITLE Supply Chain Supervisor STATUS Non-exempt DEPARTMENT Holiday Support Facility SALARY 25 - 30 hourlyJOB SUMMARYResponsible for supporting accounting functions and inventory control for Circle Ks sandwich manufacturing facility and Alaska Bakery. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting cost accounting functions maintaining inventory accuracy and investigating inventory variances and operational discrepancies.The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing accounting or inventory control strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with production warehouse procurement and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.RESPONSIBILITIES ACCOUNTABILITIES§ Inventory & Operations Roleo Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse production and off-site storage locationso Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory discrepancies shortages overages and transaction timing issueso Coordinate and support cycle counts physical inventories and inventory adjustment processeso Monitor inventory transactions and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy within the ERP systemo Support production reporting by validating ingredient usage finished goods reporting waste tracking and inventory movementso Assist with purchase order tracking receiving verification and inventory movement documentationo Work closely with warehouse procurement transportation and production teams to resolve inventory and operational issueso Track and report key inventory and operational performance indicators KPIso Assist with monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential inventory risks or shortageso Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory control and operational efficiencies§ Accountant Roleo Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reportso Perform daily weekly and monthly account reconciliationso Support month-end and year-end close processeso Assist with cost accounting including tracking raw materials labor and production costso Monitor inventory valuation and support inventory-related accounting activitieso Partner with operations to analyze production variances waste and efficiencieso Manage accounts payable and receivable processes as neededo Ensure compliance with company policies GAAP and internal controlso Assist with financial and inventory auditso Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvementso Update vendor information and assist with other accounting activities as needed KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.Working knowledge of ERP systems desired.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
