About the Opportunity - Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support financial operations for a growing organization in the Lebanon, TN area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities - Accounting Specialist
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accounting records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Generate financial reports and support management with accounting analysis
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions
- Maintain vendor and customer account records
- Support audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications - Accounting Specialist
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
