We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accuracy across key financial processes. This opportunity is well suited for a professional who is organized, analytical, and dedicated to maintaining precise financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
  • Process and post vendor invoices in the accounting system.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and verify pricing, quantities, approvals, and payment terms.
  • Prepare weekly check runs and reconcile checks to the corresponding invoices.
Accounts Receivable
  • Post customer payments, including cash, checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
  • Record revenue activity from lockbox and local deposits.
  • Maintain accurate accounts receivable balances and prepare monthly summaries.
  • Coordinate monthly transfers to the accounts receivable account and verify totals.
  • Support collections efforts by reviewing payment plans, payment history, and credit limits, and collaborating with customer service and sales teams as needed.
General Accounting
  • Support general ledger maintenance and month-end close activities.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures and core accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with accounting software and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
