The Supervisor supports the Corporate Accounting team in the accurate and timely execution of daily tasks related to account reconciliations, month end and year end close, and complex analyses, reporting and research. The Supervisor will function in a more prominent role and is expected to work independently on assigned tasks as well as manage team members and collaborate with other functional leads and departments.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all supporting team members on their pre-close and post-close activities for the month-end closing process for multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals, and flux analysis
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline for their assigned accounts, with research and resolution for any reconciling items
  • Support department in special projects and initiatives, including preparing and gathering data for annual audit
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records
  • Performs other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years’ experience required
  • 3 years’ experience working as an Accountant in the healthcare field preferred
  • Ability to accurately manage, analyze and manipulate large volumes of data
  • Advanced excel user (e.g. Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Index Match, If statements, Concatenate).
  • Sophisticated GL system experience, NetSuite and Blackline experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; communicates articulately and comprehends complex written and verbal communication
  • Highly detailed-oriented and organized
  • Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects and priorities while maintaining accuracy and high-performance levels in challenging and demanding environment
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
