Overall PurposeThe Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supervising accounting staff, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role works cross functionally to maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.The Accounting Supervisor reports to the Director of Accounting. The Accounting team is comprised of 3 Senior Accountants, an Accountant and a Treasury Accountant. The primary focus of the team is the accurate recording of information in the general ledger, interacting with and providing information to our external and internal auditors and ad hoc analysis and reporting.Essential FunctionsOversee general ledger activities, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.Review balance sheet account reconciliations for accuracy and completenessPrepare and review journal entriesAssist with and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controlsReview and approve invoice codingMonitor compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirementsSupport internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to inquiriesAnalyze financial results and investigate variancesCoordinate with other departments to resolve accounting and operational issuesIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automationAssist with training, workload planning, and performance evaluationsAd Hoc reports and requests as neededKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong work ethic and be able to meet critical timelines (willing to work overtime during quarterly closes and annual audits as needed).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong organization and prioritization skills.Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and proactive.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.Ability to work additional hours during month-end close and audit periods as neededExperience & Education4+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingERP system experience (NetSuite experience preferred, not required)Experience in a publicly traded corporate environment (preferred, not required)Experience in Microsoft Office, proficiency in ExcelAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance requiredWork Location & ScheduleThis role offers a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates will follow our hybrid schedule, working in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.SalaryThis position offers a base compensation of $75,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience, knowledge, skills, and education.#J-18808-Ljbffr
