Accounting Supervisor (Hybrid)

 A well-established organization is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to support key accounting operations and lead a small team. This position combines technical accounting responsibilities with staff supervision and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to leadership, this role will contribute to the month-end close process, financial reporting, accounts payable oversight, compliance activities, and ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small accounting team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee select accounting functions, including vendor payments and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review financial reports and analyses for management.
• Support audit and tax-related processes by gathering documentation and coordinating with external partners.
• Monitor key accounting metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Partner with internal departments to support operational and financial objectives.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring team members preferred.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Compensation & Benefits
