Accounting Supervisor

Salary: $65,000-$72,000/year
Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading a team and making sure the details are done right? CTF Illinois is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable professional to join our team as an Accounting Supervisor. In this role, you'll oversee key accounting functions, support and develop a small accounting team, and help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our financial operations.
What Youll Do
- Oversee and support a team of 2-3 accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to promote accountability and professional growth.
- Manage and review Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment batches, vendor reconciliations, AP aging, and discrepancy resolution.
- Review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance and serve as a backup for payroll processing and employee inquiries.
- Maintain payroll system configurations and support annual payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and Third-Party Sick Pay (3PSP) reporting.
- Review cash application activity to ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of customer payments.
- Coordinate and review month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial workbooks, and reporting schedules.
- Prepare audit documentation and reconciliations and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and payroll processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen accuracy.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment while helping team members build their accounting knowledge and skills.

What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Strong experience and knowledge in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
