Responsibilities of the Accounting Tech. :
- Maintain and support the general ledger, including accurate postings and account updates
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring credits and debits are properly verified
- Process and review financial postings and transactions within the SAGE accounting system
- Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of account statements
- Review financial records for accuracy and assist with resolving discrepancies
- Support financial reporting and documentation for the Bakersfield College Foundation accounts
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Tech
- Hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software
- Ability to verify financial transactions and ensure accuracy in credits and debits
