Responsibilities of the Accounting Tech. :

• 
  
• Maintain and support the general ledger, including accurate postings and account updates
• 
  
• Perform account reconciliations, ensuring credits and debits are properly verified
• 
  
• Process and review financial postings and transactions within the SAGE accounting system
• 
  
• Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of account statements
• 
  
• Review financial records for accuracy and assist with resolving discrepancies
• 
  
• Support financial reporting and documentation for the Bakersfield College Foundation accounts
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Tech

• 
  
• Hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software
• 
  
• Ability to verify financial transactions and ensure accuracy in credits and debits
