Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Location: West Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: $60,000 ??? $80,000 (Direct Hire)

Position Overview

A well-established and growing real estate organization in West Los Angeles is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to support high-volume AP operations. This role will manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor coordination, payment administration, and reconciliation activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong accuracy and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the AP inbox, including reviewing invoices, statements, and vendor inquiries

  • Audit and process high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy, coding, and compliance

  • Enter invoices into the system and route for approval workflow processing

  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, including past-due balances

  • Process recurring payments, including monthly payables and mortgage-related expenses

  • Handle employee reimbursements and intercompany transactions

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, including EFT setup and compliance documentation

  • Monitor vendor accounts and ensure insurance and compliance requirements are met

  • Support annual 1099 preparation and reporting

  • Prepare and review aging reports and other AP-related reporting metrics

  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems for all AP documentation

  • Assist with construction-related payables, including contracts, change orders, and pay application reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 4???5+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment

  • Experience supporting full AP cycle from invoice receipt through payment

  • Exposure to property management or real estate accounting preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Yardi (Voyager/Elevate) or similar ERP systems highly preferred

  • Familiarity with AP automation tools such as PredictAP is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
