Accounts Payable Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a non-profit organization to hire an Accounts Payable Accountant. This role supports key financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, maintaining vendor records, and assisting with general accounting functions in a high-volume environment.

Position Overview

This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced setting and has experience managing the full accounts payable cycle. The role is fully onsite and offers exposure to a collaborative finance team in a high-volume processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices from receipt through payment while ensuring accuracy and proper approvals

  • Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation, resolving discrepancies as needed

  • Maintain vendor records, including onboarding and updates to ensure accurate data

  • Perform reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances or variances

  • Support general ledger activities such as journal entries and account analysis

  • Assist with treasury-related tasks, including ACH and wire transfers

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure correct coding, documentation, and compliance with internal procedures

  • Contribute to month-end close processes and reporting requirements

  • Utilize ERP systems to manage and track financial workflows

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience with full-cycle accounts payable processing no less than 3 years

  • Strong knowledge of invoice matching, including 3-way match

  • Background in vendor maintenance and account reconciliation

  • Exposure to the g/l and journal entries

  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong attention to detail

  • Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or similar

  • Associate's (AA) or Bachelor's (BA) degree in Accounting or a related field

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a non-profit organization or similarly structured environment

  • Familiarity with complex account coding structures

  • Exposure to tools such as Bill.com or comparable systems

Compensation & Employment Details

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering the potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs. The pay rate ranges from $33.00 to $34.87 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Our client is back in the office 5 days a week so this is an on-site role in ROSEVILLE, CA.
