Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Specialist Morris County, NJ

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with a high volume of cash inflows and outflows, and has a strong eye for identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.

• Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Process and track significant cash receipts and cash disbursements
• Perform extensive bank, account, and general ledger reconciliations
• Research and resolve discrepancies, variances, and payment issues
• Review transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments as needed
• Support reporting and other accounting-related projects
• Perform various miscellaneous accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience with strong AP/AR knowledge
• Experience handling high-volume cash transactions
• Strong reconciliation experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
