Accounts Payable Analyst

Overview

Experienced Accounts Payable Analyst needed to oversee the AP function and support month-end close and general ledger activities for an international company.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide daily AP priorities, processes, and deadlines
• Coach and cross-train team members; serve as go-to resource for complex issues
• Review higher-risk transactions and resolve invoice/payment exceptions
• Partner with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting, and vendors to clear discrepancies
• Maintain SOPs, coding guidance, and training materials
• Identify process improvements and support system/automation changes
• Process and review PO/non-PO invoices; prepare payment proposals (ACH, wire, check)
• Reconcile vendor statements and support month-end close, accruals, and aging reviews
• Monitor AP metrics, enforce controls, and assist with audits
• Provide backup coverage and handle special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent experience
• 4+ years AP or related accounting experience (complex invoice/payment resolution)
• Team lead, training, or workflow coordination experience preferred
• Knowledge of GL, cost centers, accruals, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Manufacturing or high-volume environment experience preferred
• ERP system experience preferred but not required
• Strong Excel, Outlook, and PDF skills
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, communication, and coaching abilities
