Surestaff is immediately hiring an Accounts PayableClerk for a facility in Belvidere, IL, that designs and manufactures custom retail display solutions. This role is primarily responsible for accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with light administrative support as needed.

Available shift:1st shift, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Mon–Fri
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:- Process daily vendor invoices including matching, coding, and system entry
- Handle customer invoicing and assist with collections on past due accounts
- Complete weekly check runs
- Reconcile purchase orders and resolve vendor discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 documentation and filing
- Perform monthly credit card reconciliations
- Conduct new customer credit checks
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies
- Support general administrative tasks including answering phones, greeting visitors, and office organization as needed
Required Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Clerk:- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
- 1+ year of accounting coursework or 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Basic knowledge of general ledger and financial statements
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
