Location: Monroe, OH (Onsite)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client in Monroe, Ohio, to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of invoice processing, vendor relations, and accounts payable procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely

• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation

• Enter accounts payable transactions into the accounting system

• Maintain vendor files and ensure documentation is complete and accurate

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues

• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries

• Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payment processing

• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items

• Support month-end closing activities and accounts payable reporting

• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience

• Experience processing high-volume invoices preferred

• Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and financial documentation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
