LHH is partnering with a growing, established organization on the west side of Indianapolis to identify an Accounts Payable Clerk. This opportunity is open due to department growth and internal promotion, offering strong long-term potential within a stable and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable function and ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume trade and non-trade invoices
Verify, code, and enter vendor invoices
Execute payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers
Review and reconcile vendor statements
Communicate with vendors to obtain missing invoices or credits
Maintain organized digital and physical records
Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks
Partner with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met
Handle sensitive financial information with discretion
What You Bring
Required:
2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (or relevant education)
Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits)
Experience with Excel (pivot tables preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
Professional communication skills
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems (Prophet 21 a plus)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Work Environment & Culture
Fully in-office role-best suited for someone who enjoys routine and structure
Manager provides direction but expects you to work independently day-to-day
