Accounts Payable Clerk
Position Overview:
Full-time opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Huntsville, AL. This is an in-office position where you will perform a mix of accounting and administrative responsibilities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Work Hours: 7am to 4pm.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and run weekly check payments
- Accurately and efficiently process approximately 80-100 invoices per week
- Maintain and track purchase orders
- Assist with general accounts payable functions and reconciliations
- Communicate regularly with field team members to support their operational needs
- Provide administrative support, including ordering office supplies and stocking common areas
- Assist with various office tasks and projects as needed
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
- Organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel functions
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to perform a variety of responsibilities beyond the traditional AP role
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- 5-10 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role highly desired
- Associate Degree preferred
