Accounts Payable Clerk

Minden, NV is a small town located in the western part of Nevada, in the Carson Valley, about 15 miles south of Carson City and roughly 45 miles south of Reno. It serves as the county seat of Douglas County. The area is known for its picturesque landscapes, characterized by the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west and the Carson Range to the east. Minden itself is a charming, historic town with a population of just under 4,000 people.

Pay: $22 - $23 an hour DOE

What you’ll do:

• Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and general ledger (GL) coding.

• Payment Execution: Schedule and process disbursements via checks, ACH, wire transfers, and corporate credit cards.

• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly vendor statements, investigate open balances, and support month-end/year-end closing activities.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Communicate with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve pricing, quantity, or tax issues.

• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Maintain vendor master files (W-9s), ensure internal controls, and assist with audits.

To be considered, you should:

• High School diploma or equivalent. 
• This is an entry level position. Prefer but not required is three years of accounts payable experience.
• Possess aptitude with office systems and be very detail oriented. Great Plains proficiency a plus. Strong excel skills preferred.
• Industry or related experience preferred but not required. 
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: 

Monday - Friday ~ 7:00am - 4:00pm ~ 1 hour break
