Why this role matters

This role directly impacts Maverik’s financial accuracy, vendor relationships, and compliance standards by ensuring payments are processed correctly, documentation is complete, and reporting requirements are met.

Location/Schedule 

This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one remote day each week. 

What You’ll do in this Role

• Ensure accurate payment processing, including but not limited to verifying Federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
• Ensure proper supporting documentation (e.g. purchase order, approved and reconciled invoices/vendor statements, etc.) exists for all payments
• Verify expense reports and audits the reports to ensure compliance with Travel & Entertainment policy
• Assist with compliance of 1099 reporting and preparation

You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have: 

• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of accounts payable functions, with experience with multiple systems highly valuable
• Experience with MS Office including Excel skills 

Bonus points if you also bring: 

• Associate’s degree in relevant field preferred 

Compensation & Benefits 

Pay Range:$18.50/hr-$19.50/hr + DOE and Bonus Opportunities 

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
