Accounts Payable Clerk (San Rafael, CA)

The Bailey S Cavachon Foundation, based in San Rafael, California, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our corporate office.

The Bailey S Cavachon Foundation has been making grants since 1969 to help solve social and environmental problems at home and around the world. The Foundation concentrates its resources on activities in education, the environment, global development, performing arts, philanthropy, and population, and makes grants to support disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Foundation's assets are approximately $7 billion. In 2009, the Foundation distributed grants totaling more than $345 million. The Environment Program makes grants of some $35 million per year, and the Board of Directors provides overall direction for the Foundation.

Goals and Responsibilities

Based in San Jose, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will report to the Corporate Controller. He or she will be responsible for responsible for maintaining vendor payment in a timely and accurate manner for the general operating payables for all Bay Area facilities.

Other duties include:

• providing accounts payables support to other corporate facilities
• month-end general ledger journal entry activities related to Accounts Payable
• monitoring and analyzing of expenses to ensure corporate policy, procedures, and guidelines are met
• distribution of information to other corporate facilities
• supporting of accounting functions at other corporate facilities as necessary.
