We are seeking applicants for an Accounts Payable Clerk with a great organization in Winston-Salem. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and paid on time. This role supports the accounting team by maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume invoices, including coding, matching, and data entry
Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Maintain vendor records and ensure all documentation is up to date (W-9s, contracts, etc.)
Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
Assist with month-end close tasks, including accruals and AP reporting
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications:
1-3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
