Accounts Payable Coordinator

Our client is a mid-sized third-party logistics (3PL) provider headquartered in Columbus, OH, offering warehousing, transportation, and supply chain solutions to a growing national customer base. With a focus on precision, reliability, and customer-first service, they've built long-term partnerships across multiple industries. As the business expands, they're looking to bring on an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to help manage the company's financial operations with accuracy and efficiency.

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth and timely processing of all vendor payables. This position requires strong attention to detail, experience in logistics or a similar fast-paced environment, and comfort working within accounting and operational systems. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and familiar with both QuickBooks and 3PL systems such as a Transportation Management System (TMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter, code, and process high volumes of vendor invoices
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, freight bills, and receiving documents
  • Manage payment schedules, check runs, and ACH transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to verify deliveries and charges
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure proper documentation for audits
  • Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and financial reporting support
  • Ensure consistent use of QuickBooks and 3PL systems for tracking and approvals
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting support
  • Prior experience working in a logistics, transportation, or warehousing environment preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Familiarity with 3PL platforms such as TMS or WMS strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working in ERP or financial systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first attitude
