Accounts Payable Coordinator

STS Technical Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to support financial operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, coordination of payments, and resolution of supplier account issues.

You will operate at the center of daily financial transactions, working across departments to ensure invoices are processed correctly, payments are executed on time, and the general ledger reflects accurate activity. This role requires precision, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing control of the details.

Job Responsibilities

• Process invoices with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and proper verification
• Support payment processing, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers for domestic and international transactions
• Perform detailed research and resolution of supplier account issues and discrepancies
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to resolve invoice and payment concerns
• Maintain and update supplier records, including new vendor setup and documentation management
• Execute payment runs, stop payments, voids, and invoice scanning processes
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately within the general ledger
• Apply internal controls and company policies to maintain compliance and protect company assets
• Support invoice distribution and documentation tracking processes
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience using computerized accounting systems
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and general accounting principles
• Familiarity with internal controls and financial compliance practices; Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Testing Requirement

• 10-key test required prior to submission
• Candidates must score 80 or higher
• Test results must be submitted with the candidate’s resume

Work Schedule

• Monday: Remote, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
• Tuesday through Thursday: Onsite at Juneau campus, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
• Friday: Remote, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
• Schedule subject to change based on business needs
