As the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will support the purchasing team by maintaining comprehensive and systematic records of business transactions for the assigned business unit within the Sports & Entertainment industry. This is an hourly role, on site five days a week, with occasional weekend availability required.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate daily sales and reporting worksheetsProcess invoices for event/event preparation laborPerform variance analysis to ensure accurate financial dataTroubleshoot mistakes in data entry or financial reportingEnsure completion of month‑end activitiesMaintain, analyze, and report daily labor costs to support budgetary planning and decision makingSummarize details in separate ledgers or computer files to maintain accurate, organized recordsTransfer data to the general ledger and perform reconciliations to ensure accounts are balancedCompile records for cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss statements, and other pertinent itemsPerform aging review of invoices to meet deadlinesAssist in resolving outstanding invoices/billing activitiesSupport billing activities, including outreach to suppliers/vendors and follow‑upsProvide reconciliation support and assist with production of AP financial reportsReview incoming invoices, ensuring approval before paymentVerify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, and computer printoutsInteract professionally with suppliers/vendorsResolve supplier and vendor complaints promptly and effectivelyCommunicate feedback to supervisors/managersPerform other duties as assignedSkills and ExperienceProficiency in Excel and other data entry softwareGeneral accounting knowledge requiredExperience maintaining high‑volume workbooksStrong attention to detail and multitasking skillsDemonstrated desire for accuracy and organization in daily dutiesAbility to meet strict deadlinesProficient in reading, writing, and communicating in EnglishAbility to support company initiatives while collaborating across departmentsBenefitsInstapay (early access to wages) and high‑interest savings via the EVEN appAssociate Shopping ProgramHealth and Wellness ProgramDiscount MarketplaceEmployee Assistance ProgramEEO StatementCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
