Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate (Immediate Need)
Location: Cranbury, NJ (100% On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Potential Temp-to-Perm
Compensation (Permanent): $60,000 - $65,000
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team immediately in a fast-paced, project-driven environment within the construction/engineering space. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to grow within an accounting function. The position will begin on a temporary basis with strong potential to convert to a permanent role.
This is a fully on-site position in Cranbury, NJ, supporting a collaborative accounting team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries
Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Assist with expense report processing and compliance with company policies
Collaborate with project managers and internal teams on invoice approvals
Qualifications:
Prior accounts payable or general accounting experience required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
Willingness and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with numbers and large volumes of transactional data
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
