About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in Gary, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience and knowledge of the construction industry, particularly construction billing and change orders.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• 
  
• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• 
  
• Assist with construction billing, including reviewing and processing change orders.
• 
  
• Communicate with vendors and internal project teams regarding invoice questions and payment status.
• 
  
• Maintain organized AP files and documentation.
• 
  
• Support month-end accounts payable activities and other accounting duties as needed.
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
• Previous Accounts Payable experience required.
• 
  
• Experience with construction billing, job costing, or change orders is highly preferred.
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• 
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• 
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
