GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this job is to manage all Accounts Payable (A/P) activities/transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and disbursements, recording of expenses, accuracy of the reconciliation process, monthly reporting, and payment remittance. This position works under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelors degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or related field from an appropriately accredited college or university with 18 hours of accounting coursework; five years of experience in accounting or a related field; two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
