Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a role where you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close procedures. This position will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your skills in a high volume, fast-paced environment while contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable department and ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
2. Managing month-end closing of the accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
3. Analyzing accounts payable data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
5. Training, coaching, and supervising accounts payable staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
6. Preparing and presenting financial reports related to accounts payable to senior management.
7. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to resolve accounts payable issues.
8. Participating in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecast updates.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing high volume accounts payable in large-scale organizations. Experience in public or private equity backed organizations is preferred.
2. In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
3. Strong management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
4. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
5. Experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
