What You'll Do
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Review and process invoices carefully to ensure they are recorded correctly and paid on time.
- Validate transactions by comparing invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Accurately input and assign proper coding to invoices within the accounting system.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
- Contribute to period-end close tasks by supporting accounts payable reconciliations and reporting.
- Provide documentation and assist with inquiries during internal and external audit reviews.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Prior experience with high-volume data entry, preferably within an accounts payable or finance environment.
- Strong focus on accuracy with excellent organizational capabilities.
- Comfortable using data entry platforms and accounting systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
