Accounts Payable Associate (Temporary)

We are partnering with a mission-driven organization to hire a temporary Accounts Payable Associate to support a high-volume accounting environment. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with an immediate needfor coverage.

Duration: Minimum 3 months (with potential for extension depending on business needs) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) Start: ASAP Pay Rate: $20 - $23 DOE.

Position Overview

This role will support the Accounts Payable function in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling high-volume data entry and transactional work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume accounts payable transactions
  • Perform daily review and management of AP inbox/mailbox
  • Execute check runs and support payment processing
  • Handle data entry and maintain accurate financial records
  • Work across multiple funds/accounts within the organization
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Payable or relevant accounting experience preferred
  • Experience working in a mid to high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (data entry, simple calculations)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar preferred)
  • Experience with Outlook and general computer proficiency
  • Nonprofit or multi-fund accounting experience is a plus, but not required
