We are partnering with a growing distribution company seeking an Accounts Payable & Document Control Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
Maintain electronic records and document management systems
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing variances
Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
Support weekly check runs and electronic payment processing
Prepare and organize accounting documentation for processing and audits
Partner with Purchasing, Warehouse, Customer Service, Sales, and Receiving teams to resolve invoice issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and approval processes
Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
What We're Looking For
Previous Accounts Payable experience required
Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-driven environments preferred
Experience with document management systems such as DocuWare is a plus
ERP experience preferred; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience highly desirable
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude
