We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a small, close-knit finance team supporting a busy, paper-heavy AP department. This is a temp-to-hire position with long-term potential for the right candidate.
The ideal person thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment and enjoys working in spreadsheets, managing invoice flow, and keeping the team organized.
Process approximately 200 invoices per week
Manage shared AP inbox and route/enter invoices for approval
Maintain and update weekly payment request spreadsheet (Excel required)
Enter and process bill payments in QuickBooks
Assist with light reconciliation and data verification tasks
Communicate effectively with internal AP staff and leadership
QuickBooks: Experience preferred, not required
Microsoft Excel: Basic–intermediate level required (comfortable building and editing spreadsheets)
Internal systems (limited automation; semi-manual process)
1+ year of Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Comfortable working in a semi-manual AP process environment
Background check and drug screen required
Preferred:
Prior bookkeeping or multi-site AP experience
Experience processing high-volume invoices
