Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 
  
• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely
• 
  
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation
• 
  
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electric payments
• 
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• 
  
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
• 
  
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account information
• 
  
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment of obligations
• 
  
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports
• 
  
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 
  
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
• 
  
• Experience working in nonprofit environment is a plus
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large ERP systems
• 
  
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and procedures
• 
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• 
  
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•
