Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract / Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established Indianapolis-based manufacturing organization to identify a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This opportunity will begin as a contract assignment with strong potential to convert to a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on accounting environment and enjoys being a key contributor during a period of team transition and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Process approximately 400 invoices per month in a timely and accurate manner
Perform 3-way matching (invoice, purchase order, packing slip)
Code invoices to the general ledger
Enter and process invoices within the accounting system
Assist with weekly check runs
Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
Support the team during an upcoming ERP system transition
Qualifications
3+ years of accounts payable experience
Experience with general ledger coding and full-cycle AP
Strong understanding of invoice matching and reconciliation
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
Ability to work independently in a structured, process-driven environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
