We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with construction industry experience to support high-volume AP operations. This role is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and construction-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Review, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
  • Handle construction-specific AP requirements, including subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and compliance documentation
  • Verify invoice accuracy, pricing, and approvals prior to payment
  • Manage weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate AP records and support month-end close activities
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, project managers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
  • Assist with audits and provide AP documentation as requested
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Prior experience in the construction industry required
  • Strong understanding of 3-way matching and job cost coding
  • Experience working with subcontractors and construction vendors
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with construction accounting software
  • Familiarity with lien waivers, insurance certificates, and compliance tracking
  • Intermediate Excel skills
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Located in Corona , fully onsite role
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive pay based on experience- $25-$30/hr
  • Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, and holidays
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
