Position: Accounts Payable Associate

Location: East Rutherford, NJ (100% On-Site)

Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000

About the Role

LHH has partnered with a stable and growing company in East Rutherford, NJ that is seeking a driven Accounts Payable professional to join their accounting team. This is an on-site role ideal for someone with strong AP experience who is eager to continue building their accounting skillset and grow into a Staff Accountant position over time. You'll work closely with senior accounting leadership and gain exposure beyond AP, including month-end activities and general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, and posting
  • Manage vendor setup, payment runs, and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate AP records and support audits and documentation requests
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely payments
  • Assist with month-end close tasks and reconciliations as your role expands
  • Support special projects and process improvements within the accounting team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Accounting, Finance, or related field)
  • Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Payable
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Interest in career growth beyond AP into broader accounting responsibilities
