Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a respected Automotive Dealer in Little Rock to hire an organized and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist. This temporary-to-hire position offers the opportunity to build your accounting career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The role is performed on-site at the company's Little Rock location.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and verify accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and reconcile daily accounting schedules, including general ledger, sub-ledger, and cash schedules.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data integrity across multiple accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical financial records.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
- Support the accounting department with routine reporting and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Working knowledge of accounting schedules and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, or Dealertrack.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Clear and professional communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
