Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval. Prepare and process payments via checks, electronic transfers, and other payment methods. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation. Monitor payment due dates to avoid late fees and maintain positive vendor relationships. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations. Generate accounts payable reports for management as needed. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Job Logistics Location: New York, NY - Midtown West Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000
