Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting one of our clients seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for the office in Oakland, California. The job is 100% onsite and there is free gated parking! The ideal candidate will have 5 years of tenured accounts payable experience. The role will be responsible for performing the full cycle of accounts payable activities and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities:

• 3-way purchase order matching
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals are obtained
• Maintain vendor files, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies
• Process weekly check runs and ACH and wire payments
• Prepare and file 1099 forms
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred but stable accounts payable experience will be considered
• Previous software experience with a medium to large ERP software platform (Epicor a plus)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel - Intermediate)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience: 5 years of accounting experience (Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant)

Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
