If you are looking for an opportunity to gain experience in a workplace that focuses on keeping employees happy so they can do their best work, we hope you will consider joining our team!The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures by performing the following duties:Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of vendor invoices and supporting documentationVerify appropriate authorization and coding for all invoicesMatch invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentsEnter invoices into the accounting system for payment processingSchedule and process payments, including checksMonitor payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements and avoid late feesAddress and resolve payment discrepancies and issues with vendorsReconcile vendor statements to ensure accounts are accurate and up to dateInvestigate and resolve outstanding balances or discrepanciesAssist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accrualsMaintain detailed records of transactions and reconciliationsEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls and regulatory requirementsMaintain organized records of invoices, payments and other accounts payable documentationAssist with vendor and trade partner audit preparation by providing required documentation and explanationsMaintain trade partner insurance complianceIdentify and recommend improvements to accounts payable processesCollaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and enhance efficiencyStay updated on best practices, accounting regulations and technological advancements related to accounts payable processesRequired experience and education:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferredProven experience as an accounts payable clerk or similar role requiredFamiliarity with ERP systems and accounting software preferred, Constellation Newstar experience a plusKnowledge of MS Office including Excel, Outlook and TeamsKnowledge of accounting principles and practicesDemonstrate commitment to integrity, company values, customer-focus, and established policies and proceduresWe offer competitive compensation along with great benefits including medical, dental, vision and disability insurance, paid parental leave, paid time off, wellness program benefits and bonus, and an attractive 401K plan with generous company match.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
