UnitedMechanical is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist during a period of increased workload and ERP transition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and supporting AP workflows in a fast-paced construction environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess construction and overhead invoices accurately and timelyManage AvidXchange inbox, invoice routing, batching, and paymentsReview invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentationReconcile vendor statements and APaging reportsSupport month-end close and AP reconciliationsRespond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices and paymentsCoordinate with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve discrepanciesMaintain organized and audit-ready AP recordsAssist with process improvements and system-related AP tasks as neededMinimum QualificationsMinimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experienceConstruction industry experience preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of basic accounting principles and job costingPreferred SkillsExperience with AvidXchange, Concur, Sage300, SageIntacct, and BuildOpsExperience with AP automation and ERP systemsIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsUnitedMechanical is an Equal Opportunity Employer and embraces diversity in our employee population.
