Accounts Payable Specialist 

Location: Vero Beach, FL
Compensation: $25–$30/hour
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Fully onsite during training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule after training

Are you a recent college graduate looking to launch your accounting career? This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you’ll receive hands-on training, learn the full Accounts Payable process, and have opportunities to grow into broader accounting and finance responsibilities.

You’ll work closely with the Controller and CFO as part of a small, close-knit accounting team of seven. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn, highly detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in accounting.

What You’ll Learn & Be Responsible For

You’ll receive hands-on exposure to a variety of accounting functions, including:

• Invoice Processing: Process vendor invoices and learn full-cycle Accounts Payable procedures, including working with non-PO invoices and ERP systems such as NetSuite.
• P-Card & Expense Management: Support the company purchasing card program and assist with expense reporting and compliance through Concur.
• Vendor Management: Assist with vendor setup, collecting tax documentation, maintaining vendor records, and resolving vendor questions.
• Reconciliations & Problem Solving: Research discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Administrative Accounting: Assist with business license renewals and utility account management across 14+ locations.
• Cross-Training: Gain exposure to Accounts Receivable, GL reconciliations, KPI reporting, and accounting process improvements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and organization within the AP function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• Recent graduates and candidates with internship or entry-level accounting experience encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and learning new systems
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
• Comfortable starting fully onsite in Vero Beach, FL and transitioning to a hybrid schedule after training
