You notice the details other people miss. We need that.

At Paul Davis Restoration, our teams move quickly, responding to property damage, rebuilding homes and businesses, and helping customers recover after unexpected events. Behind every project is an accounting team making sure the financial details are accurate, organized, and moving just as efficiently.

Were looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who enjoys bringing order to the details, solving discrepancies, and making sure vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.

This isnt a role where youll simply enter invoices all day. Youll work across multiple projects, communicate with vendors and internal teams, reconcile accounts, and help ensure job costs are recorded correctly.

If youre the person who sees something that doesnt add up and has to figure out why-you may be exactly who were looking for.

What Youll Do

  • Process and reconcile vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Review invoices for accurate coding, documentation, and approvals
  • Prepare weekly vendor and subcontractor payments
  • Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards and accounts payable accounts
  • Obtain receipts and accurately code company credit card transactions
  • Support vendor and subcontractor setup and documentation
  • Review certificates of insurance and required subcontractor documentation prior to payment
  • Allocate temporary labor and project-related expenses to the correct jobs
  • Prepare journal entries for internal cost allocations and project expenses
  • Review invoices and payments during the job closing process
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve account questions
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
  • Support process improvements and accounting department initiatives

What Will Make You Successful

Youre organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You dont ignore discrepancies-you investigate them. You communicate professionally, follow through, and understand that accuracy matters.

Were looking for someone with:

  • 3-5 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience processing invoices and reconciling accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to research discrepancies and follow issues through resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Confidence learning accounting software and technology platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in construction, restoration, or job cost accounting is a plus-but not required

An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
