Core Responsibilities:
The DHHS Financial Service Center is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor (Clerk IV). In this position, you will:
- Manage operations and complete daily tasks including, processing Child Support payments and disbursements ensuring, accuracy, timeliness and compliance with federal, state and departmental guidelines.
- Supervise a four-employee team managing the Child Support Receipt and Disbursement Unit, directly contributing to department objectives by ensuring accurate fiscal processes and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all state and federal regulations are followed and payment deadlines are consistently met.
- Provide leadership and staff development through training, performance evaluation, coaching, and support, including assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work for quality and efficiency.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and support to staff while serving as a liaison with the Division of Support Enforcement & Recovery's (DSER) leadership team and agents to resolve payment issues, communicate process improvements and support programmatic needs.
- Oversee daily operations, including workflow management, payment intake and disbursement, internal controls, and safeguarding of funds, while strengthening continuity of operations and promoting exceptional customer service, ethical standards, and collaboration aligned with department mission and values.

Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) years of responsible clerical experience to include two (2) years performing supervision or performing highly independent clerical work. Preference will be given to candidates with significant management experience.

- Possess good critical thinking skills, be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Prior experience and/ or education in accounting and operational management.
