Do you enjoy working with various stakeholders ensuring vendors are paid timely and providing travel program support and training? Join our dynamic Business Office team as the UAS Accounts Payable and Travel Auditor Lead.

The position trains UAS employees on travel regulations and updates, conducts travel audits on completed expense reports, fulfills all aspects of accounts payable, and is a lead for their colleagues at the Sitka and Ketchikan campuses.

The University of Alaska Southeast resides in Lingít Aaní (Tlingit land), adjacent to the ancestral home of the Xaadas (Haida) and Ts'msy-en (Tsimshian) peoples. To thrive in this role, an individual must serve as a trusted campus resource for travel and accounts payable, providing expert guidance, developing effective training programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and continuously improving business processes. Success depends on strong analytical skills, sound judgment, collaboration, and the ability to balance compliance with outstanding customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

One year of experience in accounts payable, travel, accounting, bookkeeping, or other financial operations.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
