Accounts Payable Vendor Data Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Vendor Data Specialist to support the accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of vendor master data within the accounting system of one of our clients. This role works closely with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure vendor information is properly validated, updated, and compliant with internal controls and policies. This position is primarily remote but may require occasional in-office meetings in downtown Cincinnati. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $23/hr.
Responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain vendor master records in ERP/accounting systems
Review and validate vendor documentation, including W-9s, banking details, and tax information
Ensure completeness and accuracy of vendor data fields and supporting documentation
Perform duplicate vendor checks and resolve discrepancies prior to setup
Partner with internal teams to support vendor onboarding and ongoing maintenance requests
Monitor and process vendor change requests, including banking updates, address changes, and payment terms
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all vendor master changes
Support compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies
Assist with 1099 reporting and tax-related vendor data validation
Research and resolve vendor-related issues, including payment or system discrepancies
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance AP data integrity and efficiency
Qualifications:
1+ years of accounts payable, vendor maintenance, or accounting support experience
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong understanding of vendor onboarding and master data process
High attention to detail with strong data entry accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office applications
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and AP processes
Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
