Step into a fast-paced construction accounting environment in Anchorage, Alaska, supporting federal and state government projects that make a real impact across the CONUS and OCONUS. In this Accounts Payable Clerk role, you’ll help keep vendor payments accurate, timely, and properly documented while supporting project cost coding and financial close.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Accounts Payables Clerk position include:
- 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, ideally supporting a construction or general contracting company.
- Process, verify, and enter vendor and subcontractor invoices with proper approvals and documentation.
- Match invoices against purchase orders, delivery tickets, contracts, and receiving documents.
- Allocate expenses to construction projects, cost codes, and general ledger accounts.
- Track subcontractor payment applications, retainage, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare weekly accounts payable reports, payment schedules, and approved check/ACH payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and respond to payment inquiries.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, W-9 forms, payment documentation, and accounting files.
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
