The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliations, and receivables reporting. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams maintain accurate financial records, and support the organization's cash flow objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable Operations

Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and timelyProcess and apply customer payments including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and lockbox transactionsMaintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentationMonitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on outstanding balancesInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, short pays, deductions, and unapplied cashPartner with internal departments and customers to resolve account inquiries and disputes

Accounting and Reconciliations

Perform monthly accounts receivable reconciliations and account analysisReconcile accounts receivable subledger to the general ledgerAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPrepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions as neededSupport audit requests by providing account analysis and supporting documentation

Reporting and Process Improvement

Prepare accounts receivable reports for leadershipAssist with implementation and optimization of ERP and financial systemsSupport development and documentation of standard operating procedures and internal controlsParticipate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of accounting and accounts receivable experienceStrong understanding of accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Experience with customer invoicing, cash applications, and account reconciliationsExperience working within ERP systems and financial reporting platformsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysisManufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity accounting experience preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
