Accounts Receivable Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for processing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily dealership accounting operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining professionalism and strong communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Process incoming payments and maintain accurate customer account records
- Prepare bank deposits and related financial reports
- Compile, review, and verify accounting information for accuracy
- Process and reconcile a variety of accounting documents, including:
- Invoices
- Cash receipts
- Vendor statements
- Journal entries and vouchers
- Department billings
- Employee reimbursements
- Communicate professionally with internal departments and customers
Qualifications
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or office experience preferred
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience working on CDK software if a plus
- Basic mathematical and bookkeeping aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology; dealership system training provided
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented workplace
Physical Working Requirements
- Primarily office and desk-based work environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phone
- Occasional walking, reaching, lifting, and carrying items up to 20 lbs. (such as office or printer supplies)
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Compensation
- Starting pay: $19.00 per hour, hourly rate based on experience
- Full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
