Accounts Receivable Administrator

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounts Receivable Administrator on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys balancing accounts receivable, collections, customer service, and credit administration in a collaborative office environment. This is a full-time, on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity in Garden Grove, California.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable

  • Process daily customer payments including ACH, EFT, wire transfers, checks, lockbox deposits, and credit card payments.
  • Apply payments accurately to customer invoices.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, overpayments, and account variances.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank deposits and accounting records.
  • Process customer refunds and approved account adjustments.

Collections & Credit

  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts.
  • Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances by phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate collection notes and payment commitments.
  • Escalate delinquent accounts when appropriate.
  • Assist customers with payment plans and account resolution while maintaining positive relationships.

Customer & Administrative Support

  • Maintain customer account records and supporting documentation.
  • Process new customer account setup and credit applications.
  • File and maintain electronic records and account documentation.
  • Assist with credit references, customer account maintenance, and management reporting.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, statements, payments, and account balances.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Administration, or Accounting.
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting software.
